Bio

Ash is our resident scuba expert. Coming from a scuba diving family, they have travelled far and wide, diving with marine animals such as tiger sharks, whale sharks, eagle rays, and unfortunately, seahorses (they know what they did). In fact, if Ash weren’t an archaeologist, they would probably be a marine biologist, studying ocean currents, especially the Humboldt Current. Ash also enjoys rock climbing, reading fantasy novels, and crocheting blankets, stuffed animals, and keychains. Perhaps Ash’s biggest passion is dragons, stemming from their love of the movie, How to Train Your Dragon (the original, not the live action remake). They hope to one day own a bearded dragon. A fun fact about Ash is that they did debate in high school, making it to nationals three years in a row. Needless to say, TEAL members should think twice before picking an argument with Ash. Bio by Alex Derian.
